At Their Peak

When we hear people talk about nature at its peak, we often think of Fall; leaves being at their full potential with color. One would not guess that sunflowers have a peak blooming season as well!

Earlier this week, I ventured down to Middleton, WI. Located there is Friends of Pope Farm Conservancy; a non-profit organization where they have a 9-acre sunflower field. The conservancy hosts an annual event called Sunflower Days. It's held during the week their half- million sunflowers are in bloom!

I woke up at 4am, left and began my journey to their conservancy to make it there for the sunrise. I've never seen anything so beautiful! Below are a few photos from my morning with the sunflowers.
